Billie Fitzgerald Memorial Conservation Grants Available for Environmental Education

Annually, the Eastern Shore SWCD offers Billie Fitzgerald Memorial Conservation Grants to support schools, teachers, scouts, community groups and other organizations in Accomack and Northampton Counties to promote environmental education. 

 

Funding up to $400 is available for projects such as outdoor classrooms, nature trails, storm drain stenciling, recycling programs, butterfly gardens, materials for water quality testing, bird feeders for the schoolyard, and field trips for environmental study.  The Eastern Shore Soil & Water Conservation District Endowment Committee does not fund beautification projects, food or money for textbooks.

 

To apply for the 2024 Billie Fitzgerald Memorial Conservation Grant, please fill out and return the one-page application form to Eastern Shore SWCD.  Applications are due to ESSWCD by Wednesday, April 24, 2024!
